Ganabol (also known as Equipoise or Boldenone) is marketed as a relatively potent steroid generally available in 50 mg tablets (Ganabol 50) to be taken orally.
It can be used by itself, stacked, or in a cycle. What does it do in the body that produces results? What about side effects?Click here to visit our recommended supplier.

Ganabol, also equated with Equipoise, is a veterinary-grade steroid.
It’s known by other names including Boldenone undecylenate, EQ, and Ultragen.
Trenbolone, another veterinary steroid, is commonly used to increase feed efficiency, accelerated muscle mass and lean muscle mass development in cattle prior to slaughter.
Ganabol was mainly used in the horseracing industry to promote recovery as well as improve performance in racehorses. It is a modification of testosterone with a molecular structure similar to Methandienone/Dianabol.
As with Trenbolone, bodybuilders seeking to enhance and accelerate muscle mass gains, performance, stamina, and strength often turn to veterinary grade steroids that produce the results they want – equated from results in animals.
Equipoise and/or Ganabol are generally used to produce lean body weight, temper animal disposition, and appetite in horses.
How did that first bodybuilder feel injecting a veterinary-grade steroid meant for use on horses into his body? We’ll never know.
However, before injecting steroids designed for thousand-pound plus animals into a human body, it’s important to know how it may affect the body, good and bad, and to find a safe range (if one exists) for dosage recommendations.
Bodybuilding websites and forums have long promoted the effects of anabolic androgenic steroids to massively increase muscle bulk and physique.
When it comes to Ganabol/Equipoise and similar, the drug is rated relatively moderate in anabolic or tissue building capabilities while very low in androgenic properties.
Bodybuilders often rate various forms of anabolic androgenic hormones with the highest rating being 500/500 (in anabolic and androgenic properties respectively). As a comparison:
As noted, Ganabol is about equivalent in regard to anabolic properties as synthetic or laboratory created testosterone injections, often prescribed in the treatment of hypogonadism or low testosterone levels caused by a number of factors.
The potency of body-produced (endogenous) testosterone, when considering the above ratings, averages about the same as testosterone in its anabolic properties based on such comparisons, though lower in androgenic properties.
One of the benefits bodybuilders see with use of Ganabol raws is that it has a low binding capability to androgen receptors over testosterone and isn’t as likely to attach to the sex hormone binding globulin, which can help to reduce estrogenic side effects.
Ganabol powder has a half-life of approximately two weeks, with the strongest potency closer to the time of injection than further out.
To maintain adequate levels of the synthetic hormone in the body, a bodybuilder will often inject the drug twice a week to maintain a more stable blood level.
Ganabol, according to a member of bodybuilding websites, doesn’t tend to promote serious side effects of an estrogenic nature, even at high doses.
It does aromatize at about half the rate of testosterone, which does promote estrogenic-like activities and side effects such as gynecomastia and water retention.
Every body can react to androgenic effects of an anabolic steroid even if those androgenic defects are rated as relatively low.
That’s because some anabolic steroids that rate low in estrogenic side effects can trigger progestational activity.
Progestins are mainly considered female hormones associated with lactation and breast-feeding, and can also behave in the body much like estrogens.
The higher the dosage, the more potential for side effects. This is also true of anti-estrogen drugs that are often stacked with Ganabol to reduce the potential of such effects.
Some bodybuilders take Ganabol at dosages as high as 800 mg, sometimes even 1,000 mg a week.
Like other anabolic androgenic steroids, Ganabol can cause disruption to hormonal and metabolic functions, increase levels of bad (low-density lipoprotein/LDL) cholesterol, which in turn contributes to potential for heart attack or stroke.
Exogenous anabolic steroids also suppress natural production of testosterone and can contribute to shrinkage of the testicles (testicular atrophy), also responsible for lack of sperm production and potential sexual dysfunction.
The problem in regard to the potential for side effects is dosage recommendations found on a number of bodybuilding websites and even in bodybuilding magazines.
Some state that Ganabol has such a long ester that injections are required only once every three to four weeks.
Some websites recommended 200 mg to 400 mg on a weekly basis in cycles that last as long as eight weeks for steady strength gains.
Always know how a drug can affect the body. Short-term gains are not always worth the risk of using Ganabol powders or any other anabolic steroid.
